February 2021’s The Navigator, our quarterly energy update, is now available. Here’s a snapshot from the latest edition.
Wholesale energy
Whilst prices are relatively high, our short-term outlook is a sideways market with continued volatility driven by uncertainty around global supply and demand.
Price reductions are possible as we move to milder weather conditions in the spring although any such falls could be limited by potential gains in oil and carbon prices as economies gather pace.
Non energy charges
Non-energy charges continued their drive upwards during 2020, in part due to the pandemic and because some smaller energy suppliers have gone under.
Major changes to transmission and distribution charges will take effect in April 2022 and that may have a significant impact (positive or negative) on your bills.
Free 1-2-1 virtual consultancy session
As we don’t have the option to meet in person, we’re offering free one-to-one advisory sessions to share guidance and ideas on energy procurement and the energy marketplace.
If you would like to arrange a session, please get in touch with James Jenkins via our contact page.
